Science Department

The science department provides a hive of activity which inspires and motivates students at all levels of ability. The students achieve a rewarding and stimulating learning experience which raises their awareness of science in the world of today.

At KS3 students develop their potential to be critical thinkers through a wide variety of interactive lessons and enrichment activities. This gives them a sound preparation for the examination courses studied at KS4 and KS5 in which they develop a wide range of transferrable skills for further study and/ or working life. Through studying scientific concepts in a variety of contexts, students sustain an interest in the subject throughout their school life and beyond.
